THIS WORLD MOCKS ON:
The world loves to point out the faults of others; especially when it comes to Christianity. The world is predisposed to have an innate hatred of Christ and Christianity. The world is full of hypocrisy; but employs its own kind of self-righteousness when judging others. There are many in the world that sits behind the desk of judgment with a gavel ready to strike hardwood concerning others while they excuse themselves for the same things. We see them judge bigotry, prejudice, injustice, assault, and degradation all in their smug arrogance toward others who disagree with them; but if the wall of privacy was brought down to see what they themselves do; they in fact would be caught in the web of hypocrisy. There is one thing which is sure in this world; if the same spirit which was violently alive when our Lord walked this earth; that same spirit is alive and well today.
Our Messiah said; if they have hated me they will also hate you; why? It is because when we live the life of Christ crucified before a carnally driven world it exposes their sins and they hate us for it. This is why the witch hunt for every fault and flaw we may still harbor is exaggerated exponentially to belittle and marginalize Christ and Christians. The bible teaches us a principle of separation yet many within the body of Christ yearn for the fellowship and acceptance of the un-regenerated. The Apostle Paul taught us that it is impossible to not be in contact with unbelievers; yet we should have not fellowship with them; it is because we have nothing in common spiritually with them. Yet many Christians flock to the world and blend in with ease having no distinction from them; mentally embracing all the world’s delectable forbidden fruits. Brethren these things should not be; yet it is apparent that many Christians are as worldly as the world and some even more so.
What we embrace speaks volumes about our inner man; we should strive to grow closer and move higher spiritually. If the treasure of our heart is the Word of God and fellowship with the Spirit of God it will be fully reflected in our speech, the content of our character, and the actions of our lifestyle. The world is not worth compromising for; Jesus did not compromise even upon the pain of torture and ultimately a horrific death. The Apostle Peter exhorted us to grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. Many often forget that this is a place of passing, it shall give way to a new heaven and earth and this present place is a place of preparation.
(13) Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
(14) Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless. 2nd Peter 3:13-14 KJV
Brethren let us keep the faith today by not wavering as a wave tossed of the wind undecided and double minded; wading into the world and back into the church being unsteady at the helm. We may see the storms blow vehemently against the bow of the boat; but if our hands are steady upon the helm, and our eyes are upon the compass of our soul, we will navigate those storms to calm and peaceful waters docking to a place of serenity. Storms may test our metal; but because he abides within we should never compromise and play into the hands of the enemy of our eternal souls. Jesus is our guide through the Holy Spirit we shall stand having done all to stand in the power and might of the Messiah. Let us therefore come out from among them spiritually and be separate because we can never appease the world through becoming worldly. Selah
Shalom, Agape, & Amen!
