Spirit of Life
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. (Romans 8:14 KJV)
One man said it was practical writing, preaching, and teaching; referring to my ministry. Many look for new revelation; yet don’t even study the revelation they have in their present lives. Some are looking for something deep which is alright; but disregard the depths which are already in front of them. One man said; I wish I had more faith; but never utilized the faith he already had. The truth is that many are running to and fro looking for a word, a revelation, or a new experience and inadvertently consume things which are not biblical at all. Many allow their emotions not their spiritual intellect to be the driving force which dominates their lives.
God deals with us spiritually leading us by the Holy Spirit into all truth. His truth never contradicts itself, it is never emotional hype that stimulates the soul but never builds the spirit; if one is not stable spiritually, they’re double minded and unstable in all their ways. I’ve heard so many say “I like to go to church where I feel the Spirit”. Yet what they are talking about is their own emotions; not the Spirit. Many miss a life changing move of God by accepting a counterfeit called emotionalism. When God truly moves upon a person; there will be a definable change in that person which is apparent to all. Are emotions involved in our pursuit of God; yes but not to the edifying of the flesh; but of the Spirit.
God abhors religiously; a form of godliness that is devoid of the force of true faith. When our whole spirit, soul, and body are set upon the altar of sacrifice and we empty ourselves out for the purpose of allowing God to fill the void; then we will experience a spiritual reality that is life changing and truly enhancing.
Brethren; I would say that it is time to quit chasing spiritual rainbows which when experienced defy the whole counsel of God’s word. I am one who has experienced many facets of the spiritual realm on both sides of the fence. Satan is cunning in his counterfeiting of God’s manifestations. He is often so close to the truth or reality of the word or a move of God that he can blend right in. That is why one must have discernment of the spirits of error. Many people cling to the tenets of their particular persuasion of denominational doctrines or nondenominational beliefs that they seldom consult the whole of scripture and thereby receive or judge by things by them.
Brethren; if we would take the time to study to show ourselves approved of God then we would not be susceptible to counterfeit teaching, preaching, and moves that lead to apostasy. I want the pure word, the pure knowledge, and a pure moving of the Spirit of God working its will and way in my life. You should too! If your spirituality only consists in a shout; I would recommend 2nd Corinthians 13:5. Why? Eternity is forever! Selah
