O VICTORY IN JESUS!
A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump. (Galatians 5:9 KJV)
There comes a time in spiritual life when self-examination becomes a priority. Just to state one reason; a little leaven leavens the whole dough! There are a myriad of different little leavens which can filter into our lives as we progress in our spiritual development. When we take the time to re-examine ourselves in the light of pouring out our hearts before God; those little leavens become apparent and then we can deal with them through biblical means. We should think about purging ourselves of any elements which would rob us of good spiritual health. One of the greatest ways to purge ourselves from little leavens which can result in big sins is to wholeheartedly repent of them once we realize that we are doing them and confess them to the Lord; then put into practice a principle which decimates that leaven in our lives.
The Apostle Paul also addressed the Church at Corinth about an individual using the same analogy; the principle can be applied to our own self-examination as well.
(6) Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?
(7) Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:
(8) Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. 1st Corinthians 5:6-8 KJV
Christ is our example of the unleavened life of purity; therefore we should keep the sacrament of communion hence spiritually speaking the feast of unleavened bread which celebrates after the Passover Seder is over which commemorates the freedom from the bondage of the Egypt which symbolizes our freedom from sin. Therefore let our lives be like unto the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
Brethren I beseech you through the anointing of God that you would take heed to the exhortation of the Lord concerning this matter for the days are evil and the evil is waging it war against the saints of God. Be not those who have fallen asleep at the post and the enemy crept in unawares to assault and destroy. No brethren gird your loins with truth and for a helmet salvation and by all means stay alert and keep your own dwelling swept and garnished and filled with the essence of the Lord; let his Spirit prompt and prod you for your own sake.
There is a cleansing flow which springs from Immanuel’s veins; bend the heart in humility and cry out in honesty to he who sits upon the throne; he will hear your heart and heed your words when uttered in sincerity and love. Turn now to his mercy and beseech his grace and abundantly he will pour out pardon. Rent your heart and not your garment for it is your heart that matters most. Turn now and release the leaven that does poison all the soul. Release now your will to his and feel the joy of his healing flow. Selah
