THE SUBSTANCE OF FAITH
Getting someone to come to terms with reality; sometimes seems like one of the most impervious feats of life with those whom have been living in a strong delusion. Once they have believed a lie to their detriment it takes a miracle to get them to open their eyes to truth. But Brethren, there is nothing impossible for God.
Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me? (Jeremiah 32:27 KJV)
The bible teaches us that with men there are things impossible, unattainable, and unreachable; but with God there is nothing that is impossible.
The Great I AM is asking the question is anything too hard for Me?
He will rebuke distrust.
He will encourage prayer.
He guarantees our completeness.
We must confide in Him completely,
We must expect from Him boundlessly,
We must worship Him piously,
We must love Him whole heartedly,
Is there truly anything too hard for a God who empowers his people to believe for miraculous possibilities?
(16) That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
(17) That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
(18) May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
(19) And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
(20) Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Ephesians 3:16-20 KJV
Brethren, there are many in our world which we know personally or by their fame or infamy. There are many who are deceived and living in the delusion of false religion or piety, or in a sinful abominable lifestyle that is the product of a societal lie or cultural acceptance. There are many in the world that think their way is the way to God, but they are bound by a strong delusion. There are many in the world that thinks they will not have to give an account to God for their vices and addictions; these are also in a strong delusion. Many are close loved ones who are desperately lost in their sins, and we have given up hope of them ever coming to Christ and his redeeming grace. Again let this scripture sink into your spiritual ears:
Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me? (Jeremiah 32:27 KJV)
The bible teaches us profound truths which are able transform us into the image and likeness of the Son of the Living God. We must never give up our hope or faith by concession to doubt, fear, or unbelief.
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1 KJV)
Once we give up or give in to doubt we in effect quench the power of faith and hope in God to do the impossible. God gave us the medium of exchange when he gave us a measure of faith. Faith works through our sustained relationship with God which produces abundant love for Him, as we grow in love; our faith grows in proportion to our love for the Father. When we love Him in Spirit and in Truth our faith in His ability also grows to the point we understand that nothing whatsoever is impossible for God to accomplish is our lives. Even the tearing down of a strong delusion in someone we love.
Brethren as long as there is breath in a person we are praying for who has been subdued by a strong delusion we should never lose faith in God’s ability to open there eyes. However since we are confronting reality, we must also realize that God will not override someone’s free will. But he can surely cause things to happen to them and around them to get them to open their eyes.
Bring hope to the hopeless, and love to the unlovable, and compassion to the unreachable; with faith and love we can make a difference.
Let us therefore exercise the faith that is within us by believing in our God to perform miracles around us and even sometimes through us as we go forward in this God given faith in the name of Jesus! Selah
Shalom, Agape, & Amen!
