GIVE YOUR BEST TO GOD
Bring your gold, frankincense, and myrrh to Our King, God, & Savior.
Gold is worthy of our King it is the best of our livelihood we can offer him, it is precious in his sight when given in true worship and adoration. Gold is beautiful, it is enduring, it never rusts or dissolves, it is the only metal which is unharmed by the effects of fire, and it has intrinsic worth and value. Our lives can represent gold being offered to God and denotes our willingness to be tried through fiery trials and endure the fire of life.
Frankincense is worth of Deity, give your frankincense to our God, the essence of our purity the fragrance of our prayers, frankincense meaning “ whiteness” hence stainless; an incense that burns leaving no residue, it is harvested by horizontal cuts on a middle eastern tree which forms clumps which look like tear drops. Bow down before your God and present him with the frankincense of your life. Frankincense honors Jesus as God and denotes our sweet smelling savor of prayer and praises to Him.
Give your myrrh to your Savior the one who died for you, myrrh another ingredient used in perfume, a natural antiseptic and pain killer, often given to dying people to ease their pain and suffering. Myrrh comes from a thorny bush, Christ had a thorny crown. When a branch from myrrh is cut if oozes out first as a pale yellow, but then hardens into a crimson red or black. The word myrrh actually means bitterness. Jesus was offered myrrh laced wine and vinegar to dull his pain but would not accept it, later his body was anointed with myrrh and aloes for his burial. Your myrrh is the your body as a living sacrifice one that is ready to suffer and or die for your Savior who suffered and died so at the last trump or the last day we could also be resurrected, myrrh is a symbolic and prophetic gift of our allegiance to our Savior.
Brethren keep the Faith today by truly bringing your best to God each and every day, not just on this Holy Day of the Remembrance of the Birth of Christ. Give Him the Gold, Frankincense, and Myrrh of your lives and watch how your relationship with God blossoms into a relationship which matures, tempers, and refines you in the process. Selah!
Shalom, Agape, & Amen!
