STRENGTH TO STRENGTH
“ Many are the afflictions of the righteous but the Lord delivers them out of them all “ Psalm 34:19
One thing about our God is he is a delivering God, when we face times of trouble we have the assurance that one way or another he will deliver us. When we walk upright before him, he will bless us in due season. Many of us are facing perilous times because of the political and economical atmosphere in which we are living. But the faithful will be rewarded for their faithfulness and because they have sought the face of God.
Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will be still praising thee. Selah. Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them. Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools. They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God. (Psalms 84:4-7 KJV)
God is faithful to the faithful, he imparts strength through the tears they shed. The valley of Baca is literally the valley of weeping, which is an intricate part of true worship, because weeping purges us of emotions that hold us down, weeping cleanses our hearts and bares them before the Lord, weeping brings out our honesty before our God in the midst of those valleys of trial, tribulation, and temptation. Weeping is a mechanism of washing away our fears and conquering our despair, weeping may endure for a season, but O the joy it brings, for worshipful weeping has the attention of God’s ear.
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. (Hebrews 4:16 KJV)
We have a God who allows us into the Holy of Holies, who allows us into His intimate presence, who greets us with love, mercy, and grace. We can come with frankness, bluntness, and boldness without fear or intimidation and he will give us an audience and communicate with us. What a mighty God, What a Wondrous God, and what a Worthy God we serve. But better still is that he has given us a Comforter to accompany us when we leave the Throne of Grace, for the Holy Spirit abides with us all along the way to comfort and counsel us each and every day.
Brethren Keep the Faith today knowing that even though you may be in the midst of trying times, the Shepherd of our Soul is following close behind with His watchful eye. He will care for us through the valley of Baca ( weeping ) giving up just the right things at the right times to cause us to go from strength to strength and we shall surely arrive in Zion at our appointed time. Selah!
Shalom, Agape, and Amen!
