DESPERATELY SEEKING THE PERFECT WILL OF GOD: ( WHAT’S LOVE GOT TO DO WITH IT )
When we are guided by our emotions, imaginations, or false inspirations we will ultimately become confused about the perfect will of God.
(8) Owe nothing to anyone, except to love one another, for the one who loves someone else has fulfilled the law. Romans 13:8
Love the commodity of heaven, even when paid in the fullest sense; it is still a debt we owe to others. To love in this way is to love with the love of Christ. It is a love without prejudice, a love without envy, a love without selfishness, and a love that intends no harm.
(9) For the commandments, "You shall not commit adultery, you shall not commit murder, you shall not steal, you shall not covet," and if there is any other commandment, are summed up in this statement: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself."
(10) Love does not commit evil against a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
Romans 13:9-10
Agape ( Divine Christ-like Love ) imparts a fearlessness which empowers, and emits actions which declare its genuineness. For many in our society replaced the natural affection of love with Eros ( Sensual Selfish Love ) or a carnal love that is full of ulterior motives. Only the redeeming agape of God can instill the selfless love of Christ which is perpetual, self regenerating, and compassionate. The Agape of God is a love which compels us to be our brothers keeper, because it is a love which the more it is paid; the more it is owed.
(11) And do this because you know the time, that it is already the hour for you to wake up from sleep. For our salvation is nearer now than when we believed. Romans 13:11
Revival is the arousing of ourselves from a spiritual slumber, a slumber which has made us complacent, conflicted, and indifferent. Revival is the resuscitation the agape of God within us, it is a return to our first love and our consequent response to God and our responsibility to mankind. Revival in a sense is the renewing of a dormant deposit of divine love which becomes passionate about God and compassionate about humanity’s state of spiritual condition. Revival revitalized the reality of the urgency of the work of the gospel in our lives and the coming of the Lord.
(12) The night is far gone, and the day has drawn near. Therefore let us throw off the deeds of darkness and put on the weapons of light.
(13) Let us live decently, as in the day, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and licentiousness, not in strife and jealousy.
(14) But put on the Lord Jesus Christ and do not make provision for the desires of the flesh.
Romans 13:12-14
The revitalization of love in our lives, is a love that is not afraid to give of itself freely; is a love that is honest but empowers. It is a reawakening of our spiritual condition, which fortifies us to cast off worldliness and put on godliness. It is recall to be reconditioned and refurbished with the armaments of spiritual warfare. Let the love of Christ be the currency of your life.
(13) And now these three things remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.
1 Corinthians 13:13
Brethren Keep the Faith today by seeking God with your whole heart willing to hear what the Spirit speaks to you concerning the Agape of God and allow him to surgically remove those works of the flesh that hinder and harm your relationship with Him and others. Selah!
Shalom, Agape, & Amen;
