ROCKED BY THE HEAVENS
(12) For ours is not a conflict with mere flesh and blood, but with the despotisms, the empires, the forces that control and govern this dark world--the spiritual hosts of evil arrayed against us in the heavenly warfare. Ephesians 6:12 (WNT)
The Forces at large under the sway of Satan:
• Governments
• Cultures
• Atheists
• Religions
• Pseudo-Christianity
Each of these plays their part in the attack on Christ and true Christianity.
(12) For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:12 (KJV)
Cults and Cultures that discriminate; which are not discerned by the majority of the masses; but contrary wise they’re embraced to the detriment of a civil moral society and the growth of true biblical spirituality. We are seeing truth decay growing exponentially because of the deceptive ploys of pseudo-Christianity and the aggressive rebellion of culture that doesn’t want to adhere to biblical truth. Therefore we are seeing the rapid infiltration of society through the government, culture, atheism, and religion to dilute and destroy the true Christian faith. We are seeing right before our eyes the deterioration of law and order; lawlessness is fast becoming the disorder of the age. Blatant rebellion is seen everywhere in our societies around the world.
We are seeing Ethnos against Ethnos and wars and rumors of wars. We are seeing the rising of a godless generation that lives, breaths, and has its being in rebellion against all that is good and godly. We are seeing the exploitation of children being manipulated into the adult realm of sexuality; indoctrinated by a culture bent on sexual gratification in every form conceivable. We are seeing the open worship of idols; and demonic statues where statues of Christian figures of distinction and the two tablets of the Ten Commandments use to occupy.
We are looking at economical systems that empower the rich and rob the poor being embraced by indoctrinated masses that do not understand economics properly.
Verse 12 of Ephesians 6 breaks down our enemies into categories:
Principalities: Greek Word: Arche: This is defined as first in order, time, or rank. Hence someone or something that rules. In verse 12 it has a negative connotation and could be translated as a Despot: a person exercising power tyrannically. It is a description of a high ranking demon.
Powers: Greek Word: Exousia which is defined as delegated authority. This word is also used negatively and refers to invisible thrones and dominions within the rank and file of demonic domains.
Rulers: Greek Word: Kosmokratōr which is a compound word which means world ruler; it is suggestive of areas of demonic control.
Wickedness: Greek Word: Ponēria which denotes hurtful plots and ploys activated in the invisible realm against humanity and especially Christianity.
Christians should be aware and prepared to be confronted on a daily basis by these evil forces which manifest themselves through the actions and deeds of those who are overwhelmed and under the influence of these spiritual principalities, powers, rulers, and wickedness. We have a firm foundation in Christ our Lord and we shall overcome!
(11) And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Revelation 12:11
Brethren we are truly living in perilous times and many are falling away and being succumbed by the forces of darkness in this age of the gentiles. But we have a sure hope in Christ if we do not falter in our relationship and hold unto his unchanging hand. Brethren nothing takes God by surprise; He is omniscient and his wisdom transcends the minds of men and evil angels. Our redemption draws nearer and we are the counter to the cults and culture of eternal death. We have the word in our heart even this word of faith which we witness to others. Fear is a sure sign to the enemy that one is not abiding in the perfect love of God. Satan’s force sense and see fear abiding upon those who’ve become weak in the faith. He is an enemy which makes his vendetta personal. He personally hates every man, woman, and child and wants to decimate their image and make it into an abominable image which mocks the Maker. But when we put our trust in God and communicate with him; we shall walk in the discernment of God and counter the attacks and win the battles of spiritual warfare.
Let us walk in the light of the love of God and allow the perfected love of God to dwell in us richly to the deliverance of our soul and the enrichment of our spirit. This is my prayer from scripture for you.
(9) For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
(10) That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
(11) Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;
(12) Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
(13) Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
(14) In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
(15) Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: Colossians 1:9-15
We were created in the image of God to be imitators of God; let us strive to maintain the image that Christ shed his own blood to restore to us. Selah
