CONCERNING THE TIMES
God would have us declare the times are evil and that the powers that be are wicked. Yet in his presence there is sanctuary a place to rest; He has declared in ancient times that in the last days there is a coming retribution for the Wicked One. Now we are experiencing difficult times and deceitful times; the demonic spirits which perpetuate propaganda in lying leaders who know not our God and are poised against Him and his children. Yet within the whole of the earth in divers places God has a remnant who obeys his voice; they’re in preparation against these days of darkness when evil leaders are over the lands of the earth. We have assurance that God is with us and that when we seek his face and know him intimately we will do great exploits.
(12) LORD, You will ordain peace for us; for You also have accomplished all our works in us. Isaiah 26:12 AFV
There are many nations in conflict; yet we serve a God who instills peace; who utilizes us to accomplish his will and works in us. I am saying that even in the midst of captivity when our leaders seek to control every aspect of our existence that our God will give his faithful servants fire, favor, and finance to do the work of God even when the message has by and in large become illegal! Our faith is scrutinized and persecuted because it exalts God over the government of men. My dear brethren; in Christ we are a nation within a nation; our King is the Lord God Almighty!
(2) Open the gates, so that the righteous nation shall enter in, one that is faithfully keeping truth.
(3) You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You; because he trusts in You.
(4) Trust in the LORD forever; for God the LORD is the everlasting Rock, Isaiah 26:2-4 AFV
When our mind is focused firmly and fixed upon the Lord; perfect peace is the result of that fixation! It is a peace that allows our minds to hear what the Spirit is saying and to relax in full assurance of God’s plans coming to fruition in Christ. Brethren Jesus said let not your hearts be troubled; we are living in a time when the love of many will wax cold because iniquity is abounding; but let not your heart be troubled! Jesus came to baptize us with the Spirit with fire from on high that empowers us to stand in the power and might of God.
Where is your mind my brother my sister? Is it stayed upon the Lord? Who do you trust? Is it the Lord? Our God is the everlasting Rock of Ages let us hide ourselves in Him!
Col 1:9 For this cause, we also, since the day we heard this, don’t cease praying and making requests for you, that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,
Col 1:10 that you may walk worthily of the Lord, to please him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
Col 1:11 strengthened with all power, according to the might of his glory, for all endurance and perseverance with joy;
Col 1:12 giving thanks to the Father, who made us fit to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light;
Col 1:13 who delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the Kingdom of the Son of his love;
Col 1:14 in whom we have our redemption, the forgiveness of our sins;
The Preeminence of Christ
Col 1:15 who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.
Col 1:16 For by him all things were created, in the heavens and on the earth, things visible and things invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers; all things have been created through him, and for him.
Col 1:17 He is before all things, and in him all things are held together.
Col 1:18 He is the head of the body, the assembly, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. . Colossians 1:9-18
Christ is preeminent; first and foremost; the Creator, the Head, the Sustainer of all things and through him all things exist and consist. Yes we live in violent times; volatile times, and vexing times; but through our God we can also live in victorious times that see the Kingdom of God advance while the world is being systematically deceived into finally following the Anti-Christ and is being groomed for his appearance even now. Everything is designed to distract your focus and overwhelm you; but God is saying stay your mind on me! You’ll have the peace to impact the world with the gospel! Amen to the reading of the word; and Amen to the understanding of the word; Yea and Amen!
