CALLED AND CURSED:
Many of the post I see are motivated by fear and generally don’t advocate for faith but a certain expectation of fiery indignation. It seems that many have given up on having any hope for the future; realistically we have a future the moment we die! But what I am talking about is the general consensus is; that we are irrevocably doomed with no hope of recourse. Let’s just say I’m not giving up on a reprieve that I believe is coming and I’m not subscribing to all the fear mongering I see going on. I believe there’s hope and I have faith that God can turn things around even now in the midst of all this turmoil and I feel that God is working on hearts in our hour! Plus I believe that there are many souls around the world which are waiting to hear the Gospel which haven’t been reached yet! No I’m not looking to go up at any moment but I am readying myself to go up if I expire. To my Christian brethren you can call me a heretic for not being a chicken little screaming the sky is falling if you want: I will still love you but I won’t support your scare tactics and false narratives concerning the times. I believe Jesus is coming soon; but what I consider soon from my study of the bible and your study of the bible may differ! God is calling us to be actively producing fruit and advancing the Kingdom. We are at war with the Devil, the World, and the Flesh: we cannot afford to coward or compromise in the Great Commission now!
The late Chuck Smith notable Bible teacher and founder of the denomination “Calvary Chapel” wrote the following: Quote
“Curse ye Meroz, said the angel of the LORD, curse ye bitterly the inhabitants thereof; because they came not to the help of the LORD, to the help of the LORD against the mighty (Jdg_5:23).
“The curse of Meroz was the curse of not doing anything, trying to take a neutral position, standing back and not offering to help in the work of God. It is tragic that many people today are guilty of the same thing; not involvement, standing back. God is wanting to do a work in this world today. God has chosen to use people to do His work. And when a call comes out from God it is our responsibility to respond to that call of God. And if we don’t respond to the call of God to help the Lord to do His work, you say, "God doesn’t need my help." That is so true. But He’s chosen to use your help and if God chooses to use your help then you better help. And if you do not help when God has chosen you to use your help, then you rest under the curse. God will do his thing. God will do his work.”
Even as Mordecai assured Esther, "If you fail, then their deliverance will arise from another quarter but you’re gonna be cut off, you’re gonna be slain, you’re gonna lose out." God will deliver his people, that’s got to be. God is gonna do His work but God uses men to do His work. God calls men to do His work. If you fail to respond to the call of God, if you fail to help God to do His work, God will do His work but you as Meroz will be cursed.
Curse ye bitterly, for they came not to the help of the LORD in the battle against the mighty (Jdg_5:23).” End of Quote.
Today we do not need social justice we need Biblical Morality and the only way that will occur is when God’s called out ones activate their faith and overcome fear or overpower the mentality of neutralism and the do nothing attitude. Every one of us has a call that has connected responsibilities with it. Our battle is with sin in our society and the eradication of it by standing up for righteousness. The doctrines of social justice are more about litigation and reparation which resurrect un-forgiveness and sustain division. But where the gospel is preached and received with a whole heart followed by godly sorrow and repentance; there will be forgiveness and reunification. Love that is consummated in the heart accepts the reality of responsibility to right the wrong and confront the evil. We examine our thoughts and search our hearts in a process to become more like Christ Jesus as we daily live for him and obey his command to go into the entire world and preach the gospel; teaching people to observe the things he revealed to us in his Word and Spirit!
When Jesus comes will he find faith? Yes! He will find a bride who has made herself ready! He will find those he gave talents and doubled their value! He will find those who received the word and brought forth fruit; some thirty, some sixty, and some a hundredfold. He will find a remnant who kept his righteousness rooted and grounded in his Spirit and Truth. He will find those who overcame the Devil through the Blood of the Lamb, the word of their testimony, and by not caring for their physical lives because of their loyalty to Christ they resisted sin even to the shedding of blood.
Brethren; let us develop a mindset of martyrdom; we should never allow ourselves to be shamed or shented into compromise and lukewarm living. We cannot afford to stand on the sidelines and hope that it will all iron out in the end for the sin fallen infused of the world; we have the message of salvation and God has called us to the battle for the souls of sinners! We are called to be the cure in the message that we convey; but when we are called let us set up to the position of the chosen by faith and stand on the firm foundation that shall never be moved and that foundation is the solid Rock of Christ Jesus! Selah
Shalom, Agape, and Amen!
