ONE THE NUMBER OF UNITY:
There is but One God, I know Him personally, there is but One Faith, I am perfecting it daily, there is but One Church, I am an individual member of it, there is but One People, my ethnicity does not matter. Therefore just as the Apostle Paul I exhort you;
(1) I, then, the prisoner for the Master's sake, entreat you to live and act as becomes those who have received the call that you have received--
(2) with all lowliness of mind and unselfishness, and with patience, bearing with one another lovingly, and earnestly striving to maintain,
(3) in the uniting bond of peace, the unity given by the Spirit.
(4) There is but one body and but one Spirit, as also when you were called you had one and the same hope held out to you.
(5) There is but one Lord, one faith, one baptism,
(6) and one God and Father of all, who rules over all, acts through all, and dwells in all. Ephesians 4:1-6
The Unity of Heavenly should be the Model of the Earthly. Unfortunately we live in a divisive world filled with religion, there is a true religion and there is a false religion, false religion is based upon formality and performance and more often than not an allegiance to a false leader; while true religion is based upon a relationship which produces piety, worship, and heartfelt benevolence. True religion reflects the image of Christ in and through us who is the Head of the Church.
(25) But he who looks closely into the perfect Law ( the Law of freedom) and continues looking, he, being not a hearer who forgets, but an obedient doer, will as the result of his obedience be blessed.
(26) If a man thinks that he is scrupulously religious, although he is not curbing his tongue but is deceiving himself, his religious service is worthless.
(27) The religious service which is pure and stainless in the sight of our God and Father is to visit fatherless children and widowed women in their time of trouble, and to keep one's own self unspotted from the world. James 1:25-27
There are many whom have a form of godliness which affords them nothing because the deny the power of God’s Spirit, Word, and Love to change them. They showcase public purity, but cover up private perversion. Therefore it is incumbent of us as Christians to remember the Word of God is the ultimate and final authority concerning all things that pertain to life, liberty, and religiosity.
(22) But prove yourselves obedient to the Message, and do not be mere hearers of it, imposing a delusion upon yourselves. James 1:22
As Christians we are called to live contrary to the culture, we are called to counter the counterfeits, and we called to convey our common cause through communion with God and the Church ( the called out ). Let us therefore examine ourselves first before we inspect the fruit of others that we may be effective in living for Jesus first and foremost.
(5) examine yourselves, whether you are in the faith, prove your own selves. Do you not know your own selves, that Jesus Christ is in you, unless you are reprobates? 2nd Corinthians 13:5
Brethren, Keep the Faith today by realizing that there is One God, One Faith, One Church, and One People this will help us to keep things in perspective, as we strive to enter in at the straight gate. We are called to help not hurt, heal not kill, restore not steal, and love not hate. Truth can unite and divide, therefore let us speak the truth in love, and if need be; leave the ninety nine which are safe to go after the one that is lost to restore them.
(1) Brethren, if anybody be detected in any misconduct, you who are spiritual should restore such a one in a spirit of meekness. And let each of you keep watch over himself, lest he also fall into temptation.
(2) Always carry one another's burdens, and so obey the whole of Christ's Law. Galatians 6:1-2
When we remember we are One, then the prayer “ Thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven “ takes on a greater significance. Selah!
