AGE OF DECEPTION
If I say evil is good, who do I profit and if I say good is evil who do I profit? Who wins when we do not define clearly the moral perimeters of what is morally good or morally evil. There are definitely imperatives in life which God not man has instituted for the benefit of a healthy society. Once one begins to compromise what the bible clearly defines and adds their own understanding from their own carnal perspective thinking that they’re being spiritually perspective; they’ve already begun down the broad way of destruction.
So if you know of an opportunity to do the right thing today, yet you refrain from doing it, you’re guilty of sin. James 4:17
Once the dynamic of allowing oneself to be convicted of hardness of heart and immorality has occurred; that hardness serves to continue to hardness the heart thereby rending it unable to accept the truth of God’s word. I heard a man take about hardness using another term; and hardness of heart is pervasive in our society today and has diluted the morally of many just as in the days when Jesus our Lord walked this earth. He spoke to his generation:
“O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh”. Matthew 12:34
When one’s heart is so hard they don’t recognize their own hypocrisy anymore; it’s not time for discussion it’s time for a rebuke in unsettling terms. How would you feel if Jesus called you a snake and so evil your speech reveals your heart every time you open your mouth?
Satan was and has been represented by a snake; a viper which is poisonous and speaks great swelling things! He deceives for the purpose of exalting himself. Just like many of his followers. Those who bear his traits are definitely his followers and can be defined as vipers.
(12) How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
(13) For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
(14) I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Isaiah 14:12-14 KJV
The five I wills of Lucifer are all about pride and self-exaltation and actually the overthrow of God and his Throne in Heaven. Satan thought to himself I will be like the Most High hence diluting himself by exalting himself thinking he was more than a creature created by the Creator.
(14) Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
(15) Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. Ezekiel 28:14-15 KJV
Brethren; “pride leads to destruction and a haughty spirit leads us to fall”. Now who in our present world is full of pride, self-exaltation, and haughtiness? Who is that asserts their will upon us in this present generation? Who are those who call evil good and good things evil? Who in the world and in some churches do these things? Who is it that lies, accuses falsely, and belittles those who oppose their views, their politics, their religiosity, and their philosophies?
I will tell you: it’s a generation of vipers who need to repent and be revived, refreshed, and renewed in the Spirit of the Living God who is Holy and Jesus said “Your Father is Holy be also Holy”. That’s what Jesus said! He called it like it was and didn’t coward when the opportunity to speak plain truth to sinners and saints was needed. Many people talk about what would Jesus do; I’ve read the scriptures and use those scriptures as the foundation of my personal walk with Christ; yet there are so many in the body of Christ who walk in their own understanding not rightly dividing the word of truth.
Jesus did many things and he taught righteousness and he also rebuked people when it was necessary; as should we concerning love. Faith works through love; but love that doesn’t care enough to speak truth is not really love at all: its compromise.
(16) All Scripture is God-breathed and is profitable for doctrine, for conviction, for correction, for instruction in righteousness;
(17) So that the man of God may be complete, fully equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 AFV
Brethren I am striving to be like Jesus more and more: I am learning to walk by faith and not by sight! I am on the narrow path striving to enter in at the strait gate and find myself in eternity with God. Selah
