GOD’S AWESOME PLANS
When I think about the plans and purposes of God I am excited to be living in these end times. God purposed us to live in the times he chooses for our lives.
Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure: (Isa 46:10)
Isn’t it wonderful how God has already orchestrated all things to work together for our good? There are many things presently occurring which could boggle our minds if it were not for the esoteric knowledge which we possess in the Holy Scriptures. Why do I say esoteric? Because those in the world are blind to the reality of the revelations of scripture; it is hidden to their understanding! They have eyes but they do not see they have ears but do not hear. In other words they see and hear the same gospel that we saved and enlightened ones do; yet they cannot comprehend the meaning of scripture as we do. They’re hidden but available to the repentant sinner.
As Christians we come to find out that God has a plan and purpose for each individual in the body of Christ. Unfortunately many think there are no trials or persecution, or false accusations, or will never be sick or diseased once they come to Christ this couldn’t be farther from the truth. However the scriptures and personal interaction with God and the Father bring comfort and consolation in those unsettling and uncertain times. We have the hope of eternal life and the unconditional love of Christ to sustain us in the most perilous times. We have a promise from the Lord “I will never leave you or forsake you”. We also have the blessed assurance that Jesus is coming back to take us to be with him forever.
In this world the bible teaches us that “the thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy; but I have come that you > might have life and have it more abundantly”. It is true we have an arch enemy which desires to take, take, and take some more; but we also have a King who gives, gives, and gives some more. First we are given life eternal through repentance of our sins and then benefits of the kingdom: for all the promises of God are yes and amen in Christ Jesus! The Holy Spirit divides out severally to those according to the special endowed abilities. Christ is both the gift and the gift giver. Each individual in the kingdom is anointed, blessed, and commissioned according to the plans and purposes of God.
There are those who are called to shepherd a particular flock and there are those who are called to evangelize being anointed with the wisdom to win souls into the kingdom. There are those who are called to shepherd shepherds and there are those who God has anointed to administrative positions. Hence we have leadership and laity uniquely intertwined in such a way that each individual supplies a need according to the purpose God has anointed them to perform. Got questions?
Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. (Jeremiah 33:3 KJV)
When we call we must be willing to wait upon the Lord in prayer. Remember He knows the end from the beginning; but great and mighty things; things which are hidden from the casual seeker who takes knowledge with a grain of salt need not apply. We must be serious in our seeking and be available and willing to do what those great and mighty things could demand of us. Brethren we are in the times and seasons of the Holy Father; we are certainly in the latter days and God is seeking those who believe with a whole heart and will not shrink in the face of opposition. It is time to stand up and declare the righteousness of the Lord and to gather together in his name for prayer that we may do the word, will, and work of God. Selah
