A Story to His Glory!
A child was born to a nice couple somewhere in a rural community, but as the child grew there came a day that something became apparent; it was an inner awareness of right and wrong. The child began feeling different thoughts about different things concerning life.
One day as he pondered these things a little boy who looked just like him began to follow him around; he stopped one day to ask the boy who he was and the reply was I am sin and I live in you. In fact sin began to dictate a lot of what the boy thought and moved him to do things he would not usually do.
However; there always seemed to be another person around following him too, even though he could not describe him, or fully understand him when he spoke to him. As life would have it one day sin prompted the young man to rob the local grocery under the cover of a mask and hooded jacket. One reason is that he had become addicted to drugs and was aching from withdraws. At this time the strange being that shadowed him so often drew closer to him. He walked in the grocery fully intending to rob it; and just as he began to brandish his gun; he finally heard the stranger’s voice loud and clear and stopped then promptly ran out to the street and began weeping profusely.
Sin began to chide him; what’s the matter with you? Why did you stop? You could be getting high right now! But all he could do is sit there and cry remorsefully because of hearing the stranger’s voice. Then all of a sudden sin’s face turned to horror and he ran away as quickly as he could, then the young man looked up and the stranger was standing in front of him. The young man asked why am I feeling this way, why do I feel so horrible, and what made me stop? The stranger looked down with sternness but a gentleness that could be felt; saying my name is conviction and I am here to introduce you to a friend of mine; his name is grace, and he has heard your repentant heart.
At that point the young man heard “behold I stand at the door of the heart and knock and if any man hear my voice and repents of his sins and believes in his heart that I died for his sins; I will forgive his sin and wash them away with my blood and he shall be a new creation”. Then again he heard; “I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one can come to the Father except through me”. He then fully believed in his heart and confessed with his mouth the Lord Jesus Christ. Remembering when he was younger about going to church and hearing the gospel.
Brethren the sin nature in everyone will do everything to please the flesh, some may have discipline to overcome somethings, but all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. There is only one way to escape the nature of sin and its penalty. That is through the Lord Jesus Christ. Brethren one thing is for sure in this life, it doesn’t matter where sin takes you or how much you’ve done in obeying it. Once you call out to Jesus with whole hearted repentance he will have abundant grace to save you. Selah
Shalom, Agape, & Amen!
