DON’T BE DISTRACTED BY ENEMY TACTICS
You’re cruising down the road enjoying the view, unhindered and flowing freely forward to your destination; then out of nowhere the traffic is stopped and backed up. Then the stop and go of the traffic jam begins to do its work, people scheduled to be somewhere at a certain time begin to get anxious, the next thing is the impatience that sets in the minds of some, and then road rage starts to pop up here and there between commuters. Then after a bit the traffic begins to flow again; the anger and impatience give way to the flow again and joy of flowing again to the appointed destination. Life is much like traffic; we have a destination we are traversing to.
The reality though is that we have an enemy who wants to jam up our traffic and our flow. We can react to what can distract and let it detract us, or we can respond and look beyond in faith and move on to our destination.
Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth? (Galatians 5:7 KJV)
God has given us within the confines of the bible these dynamic principles to live by:
(16) All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
(17) That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 KJV
I would note here that the apostles did not have the New Testament; they read and preached from the Old Testament in the Light of the teachings of Jesus; and as they remembered those teachings, times, and tasks of their discipleship. Jesus himself taught from the Tanach: which is comprised of three books the Torah, the Nevi’im, and the Ketuvim. We must also take into account that all scripture is included when it comes to having ensamples as Paul to teach us the nature of God and the full counsel of God.
We are blessed as Christians to have the revelations of the New Testament which increases our knowledge, wisdom, and power to walk in the Spirit.
You were running well; who hindered you that don’t obey the truth? Brethren, we can’t afford to be distracted by enemy tactic. Satan, heretical preachers and teachers, and worldly influence should not hinder our progress or stop us from flowing in traffic. These will always be present; they will always be planning and potting against us. Instead of being hindered, we should be vigilant, vibrant, and veracious concerning our destination.
God has given us the Holy Spirit; the Spirit which endows us with divine virtue, knowledge, and gifting which enables us to overcome the deceptive stratagem of our road blocking enemies. God doesn’t call us to defeat, but to complete his purpose in our lives. When we arrive at one victory; then the journey to the next victory begins. It will be a road which will also have many hindrances design to anger and dishearten; but this is the nature of the journey to every victory we achieve through the leading of the Lord.
Refuse to be intimidated by circumstances which arise on the road to your destination. So many start the journey only to stop and turn around or to be stalled indefinitely in one place. Don’t let the thief steal or destroy what God has purposed for you. You will always find the greatest satisfaction in having the acquired the prize of the mark of the high calling in Christ Jesus! Brethren, Don’t be distracted by enemy tactics; put your total faith in God and keep moving forward in the Name of Jesus walking in the Spirit of Jesus! Selah
Shalom, Agape, & Amen!
