HALLELUJAH AMEN!
Great day this morning; I have breath in my lungs, I can think plausibly, I am mobile, and best of all I am saved by the blood of the Lamb of God through repenting of my sins because of the revelation that Jesus came; lived a sinless life; was crucified upon the cross for my sins; then uttered the words “it is finished” and gave up the ghost; was resurrected three days later and some days later ascended to heaven after being seen of more than five hundred witnesses! Hallelujah to the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the sinner who repents of their sins and makes him not only Savior but Lord of their lives.
Part of morning ritual is making my coffee. So, I pour the water in the coffee maker then get my filter then dip in the coffee grounds, come to my desk and start looking at scripture; then I hear the sound that it’s done. It’s coffee time; but recently the filter has fallen down several times and I’ve a mouth full of coffee grounds un-expectantly. Now I hold the coffee pot up to the ceiling light to look through the pot to make sure there are no grounds and it’s safe to drink the coffee fear free. The different in my routine has changed because of the incident of a failing filters. I love coffee and I love life and it’s so important to have the best filters for both.
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12 KJV)
God’s word is alive and actively discerning the thoughts and intents of the heart. It’s like lifting that coffee pot up and looking through it in the light to make sure it doesn’t have those nasty grounds that are bitter and can choke us up. When we read the word; it reads us, it puts our life in the light of God’s standard for living. It clearly defines what God says is right verses was the heart say is right.
There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. (Proverbs 14:12 KJV)
Many today are so inundated with the things of this world; they’ve forgotten the scriptures which should be guiding their lives aright. But, instead they live by what is right in their own sight. To live for Christ demands that we examine ourselves in the light of the word of God. The world is set in battle array against the word of God; it cannot please God for it is enmity (hostile) toward him. The bible warns us of a people who have a form of godliness but they deny the transforming power of God to work in their lives; the living, regenerating, sanctifying influence of it. The modern church has conformed to the world because of pastors who mislead them. Many are no more than hirelings who are more interested in their own popularity than making developing people of piety.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. (Romans 12:2 KJV)
When we are saved there is supposed to be a radical transformation in the inner man, a departure from the form, fashion, and fervency of the world. Brethren, it’s my desire to know what is that good, acceptable, and perfect will of God. I want to be conformed more and more to the image of Christ as each day passes by. That is why it is so important to daily filter of the Word of God. It is that daily word that discerns the thoughts and intents of my heart for a long term effect.
Brethren I beseech you through the power invest in me by the Holy Spirit who through Christ Jesus has commissioned me to provoke you unto to greater heights in the Spirit. I say unto you to commit to each day a time of separation to pray to God and to read his word. You will find that your walk will grow stronger as you commit to trust and obey. We have the power of transformation; let us therefore commit ourselves to Him who sets upon the throne of mercy and grace. Selah
Shalom, Agape, & Amen!
