LOVE
I am so glad that the love of Jesus is consistent, it has been there for me in my greatest moments whether those moments were high or low points in my life. When those I thought loved me, abandoned me, when those who loved me joined in to celebrate my greatest achievements; his love was there. When others did not understand me his love was there to comfort me, when I needed encouragement and no one could be found, he was there to embrace me and give me all his time. He has given me sight when I was blind, I have life where I once was dead, I have hope where despair did live, and a future which I never thought could be.
Love takes you where you did not want to go, keeps you longer than you thought you would stay, and costs you what you did not expect to pay. When love is there, there is hope, when love is there, there is strength, when love is there, there is comfort, when love is there, there is compassion. Knowing there is an abiding love that I can resort to, reside in, and resonate with quenches the fears that try force themselves upon me.
Jesus a solid foundation, a secure dwelling place, a peaceful shelter in the storms of life. O that the world knew him and the life of love he does provide. O that the world would heed him and in his love in them reside. O they ‘re so many lost but looking for where he alone can guide. I have found no love so sweet as the love of the Lord, I have found no love so deep as the love from which I cannot hide. Jesus, Jesus, how I love him, Jesus, Jesus, the Lord my Savior how I love him more and more, Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus, how I love him more and more.
And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
1st Timothy 3:16
Brethren there is a manifest love in Christ when the Spirit renews us through the washing of the water of the word and we are begotten into the new man through our repentance and acceptance of the good news of the grace of God wrought through Jesus, we come into a kingdom which is governed by the love of Christ. Love is the foundation to every principle, every manifested gift, and all the fruit of the Spirit. The world is looking for what many in Christ have come to take for granted. Walk in the love of Christ and you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh. Selah!
