(8) Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
(9) Whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. 1st Peter 5:8-9
The Devil will always candy coat his temptations or veneer his lies with the skin of the truth, he will tell you; you can indulge in the taboo without consequence, and he will lead you into deception by veneering an apostasy with the skin of a scripture taken out of context. He will dress himself in religious attire and talk just enough religious language to lure you into his lair. He is a master of deception who is artful at being artificial, for his intentions are to take you to Hell for eternity by any means. He looks for the unwary, the unknowledgeable, and the unstable.
He is always on the prowl seeking whom he can devour. He has a vast domain of demonic hordes around the world whom are highly organized to deceive and overcome humanity for the purpose of keeping them in bondage to the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life or in a false spirituality. Many of his Principalities are no more than Regional False Gods, their false prophets are shaman, priests, sorcerers, witch doctors, and medicine men or women. All of whom contribute to his plans to pillage mankind leaving them spiritually sabotaged and eternally lost. Within the body of Christ there are false lying leaders who deceive through false indoctrination and are themselves deceived while they deceive others.
Jesus explained his parable the enemy sowing tares among wheat while the people slept; to the apostles:
(37) He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;
(38) The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;
(39) The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.
(40) As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.
(41) The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
(42) And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
(43) Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear. Matthew 13:37-43 KJV
As the children of God we are not like pagans who demolish and exterminate those whom they perceive to be wicked, but to the contrary we through the truth expose and neutralized them. We put on the whole spiritual armor of God and go into spiritual warfare by praying, preaching, and practicing the truth!
“ Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7
For we are more than conquers through Christ Jesus who defeated the devil at the cross, but sin is still in the world therefore the devil still has strongholds, but we through Christ can overcome him through the indwelling Spirit of the Living God. “ Jesus was manifested that he might destroy the works of the devil “.
Brethren keep the Faith today by purposing in your hearts to be vigilant, established, and steadfast. In prayer ask God to increase your discernment and intensify your spiritual ear to detect apostasy and improprieties concerning truth. Seek to know God in Spirit and Truth and he will open the eyes of your heart and increase your understanding of the Word. Then you will know when the devil is candy coating a temptation or veneering a deception with the skin of the truth. Selah!
